This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first grade students have never had an experience exploring or building robots. They’re always ready to explore something new and love hands-on science projects. This year, I want to introduce robotics to them to expand their imagination by having them build robots from kits. Their Build & Play Action-Bot kits will be placed on their tables and they will learn how to follow the instructions to build three different robots. My students will also write about their building experiences, draw a picture of each robot, and write about how it moves. Lastly, they will share their favorite robot to the class and explain why it is their favorite one.
