My Project
Print books in the hands of students give them the keys to explore the world and their own minds and hearts. This project will put books in front of my 7th grade students as we begin our class each day with 15 minutes of silent, uninterrupted reading. I'm moving from teaching high school to middle school and would love help in building my classroom library with high interest books for my students.
Students have told me that they used to hate reading, but that our silent reading time has changed their minds. I've seen this sentiment over and over in my high school students and want to replicate it as I move to 7th grade. I'm slowly adding to my middle school-level classroom novels through my own funds, and would greatly appreciate your support with the addition of these titles.
