My Project

My students are curious, creative, and eager to connect with books that speak to their lives, their imaginations, and the world around them. This project will provide sets of award-winning books to launch student-led book clubs in my classroom. In small groups of four, students will choose a novel to read together and guide their own discussions—making reading social, meaningful, and fun.

Each book selected for this project has earned national recognition for its literary quality, powerful themes, and ability to spark thoughtful conversation.

From Newbery Medal winners to Coretta Scott King Honorees and Global Read Aloud selections, these books will help students deepen their thinking, broaden their perspectives, and grow as readers.
