This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classes consists of middle school students who are at various academic levels in a Title I school. They look forward to working with their classmates in groups and sharing the knowledge they have gained. Having access to novels they can easily comprehend and love will help promote my schools literacy goal.
My Project
Our school promotes the love of reading through Reading Counts and 1,000,000 word reader. These novels will allows the class to participate in book cubs, foster a love of reading and promote the participation in the Reading Counts program. My students will feel empowered as they to work collaboratively, engage in critical thinking activities, reinforce literary elements, and increase literature discussions.
Through book clubs students will engage in activities that promote the skills they need to be college and career ready.
These books will give my students to find their favorite novel.
