This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely adore my kindergarten students! They are curious, eager to learn, and always excited to explore the world of stories and imagination. Each day, they walk into our classroom ready to discover something new, and books play a crucial role in sparking their creativity and expanding their understanding of the world.

This project focuses on providing my students with a collection of engaging, age-appropriate books that will fuel their curiosity and foster a lifelong love of reading.

These books will give them access to stories that inspire their imagination, introduce new vocabulary, and build critical early literacy skills. Having fresh, vibrant books in our classroom library will make a significant difference in encouraging independent exploration and shared storytime experiences.

The cushions I am requesting will complement this by creating a comfortable, inviting space where my students can curl up with a book, dive into its pages, and get lost in the adventures within. A cozy reading corner will make books even more appealing, helping to transform reading time into one of their favorite parts of the day.

My goal for this project is to ensure that every child in my class has access to books that ignite their love for learning and storytelling. These resources will not only strengthen their literacy skills but also nurture their imagination and sense of wonder.

What makes my students special is their unbounded enthusiasm and their incredible potential. They remind me every day of the importance of creating a classroom environment that values their growth and supports their unique journeys as learners.
