Our school library is the heart of our middle school, serving students in grades 6 through 8. It's a place where learning comes to life—not just through books, but through relationships, conversations, and shared experiences. We’re dreaming big: we want to transform a corner of our library into a welcoming lounge area where students can read, relax, and connect.
This space will give students a cozy place to read during free time or independent reading sessions.
It will also provide a reward zone to play our Nintendo Switch, which students can earn time with by meeting reading and/or behavior goals. A community hub where kids can gather, talk about books, build friendships, and feel like they belong.
Middle schoolers are at a critical age—they’re discovering who they are, what they like, and how to connect with others. A dedicated lounge area will help us foster not just literacy, but also belonging and positive social interaction.
We’ll use your support to purchase comfortable seating, rugs, and small tables to create a relaxed and engaging atmosphere that draws students in and keeps them coming back.
