Building A Library For Early Learners Who Love To Read!

My Students

I am an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher in a Developmental Preschool for children with special needs. My students come from diverse backgrounds and bring beauty and joy to my classroom.

My Developmental Preschool is an engaging and exciting place to learn!

Along with rigorous teaching done in whole groups, small groups, and individually, my students learn through play, music and movement, and fun!

My students inspire me each and every day to be the best teacher I can be.

My Project

It is imperative to encourage and support a love of books and reading early on! My students love being read to and reading. They enjoy sitting in the classroom library reading to themselves or to each other. They love listening to books during circle times, and they get excited when they hear books about their favorite characters. This year my classroom library needs to be updated with more current books with characters my students love to read. Pete the Cat is one of our favorite philosophers.

This project will help provide books that we will enjoy, love, and use throughout the years.
