This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a newly hired first year teacher, I don't have any resources for my classroom. I have always dreamed of providing my students with a wide variety of books that explore different cultures and experiences. I want to ensure my students on the first day of school have opportunities to explore a variety of new books and have our classroom library be a place where everyone enjoys to be.

Once I'm in my classroom I want reading to be something that every student enjoys.

Students will engage in shared readings, independent reading, and read aloud to help them think deeper about themes and topics!

This project would be a great boost to starting with my best foot forward as a new teacher!
