Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 3-K early childhood education program is composed of fun, loving, and caring young children. They love engaging in hands-on experiences that encourage and support their learning through play. My students love to actively engage with their peers, teachers, and grown-ups! Let's get ready to rock remote learning in September 3-K Explorers!
My Project
At a very young age, children are introduced by their Grown-Ups or previous teachers to an array of books from all over the world. As an educator, I believe that is very important for students to be exposed to books that they can learn from, identify, and see themselves in them. These books would invite meaningful discussions about identity, cultural differences, family structures, and compositions in our classroom. It would encourage my young students to learn about their peers, their community, and explore the world through books that are culturally responsive and supports their learning needs.
