My Project

My project seeks to obtain funding to revitalize the classroom library in our second grade classroom, providing our young readers with a diverse and engaging selection of books. The project aims to foster a love for reading, improve literacy skills, and promote cultural awareness among our students.

As a second grade teacher, I have witnessed the profound impact that access to quality literature has on young minds.

However, our current classroom library lacks diversity and is in need of updating to reflect the varied interests, backgrounds, and experiences of our students. By providing a wider array of books covering various genres, topics, and reading levels, we seek to ignite a passion for reading in our students which will both accelerate and enrich their learning. A well-stocked library will offer opportunities for independent exploration and discovery.
