This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Creating a classroom ofrenda will offer my geometry students a unique, hands-on learning experience that connects mathematical concepts to cultural traditions. By building the ofrenda, students will apply geometry skills like measurement, spatial reasoning, and symmetry in a real-world context.
This project will also foster a deeper appreciation for cultural heritage, promoting inclusivity and understanding in our diverse classroom.
The materials will allow students to collaborate creatively, enhancing their problem-solving abilities and engagement with the subject. Ultimately, this project will make learning more meaningful and relevant, inspiring a love for both math and culture.
