Building a Community One Word at a Time

My Project

Day in and day out, students demonstrate teamwork, responsibility and kindness in the classroom. The perfect way to learn about these qualities is through community helpers. Community helpers make a community a better place for everyone!

Through our work to learn more about community helpers students can also build their vocabulary and writing skills.

The build-a-story cards will help to develop storytelling and writing skills, and build unique stories with character, setting, and object cards.

The various word building magnets will be used for whole group instruction, as well as in small groups, targeting specific phonics skills.
