Building a Community of Readers: One Book at a Time

Help me give my students the benefit of engaging in age-appropriate and appropriate reading level books to foster a love for reading, enhance literacy skills, and provide opportunities for shared learning and discussion.

My Project

The books that I am requesting will provide my students with opportunities to deepen their comprehension, expand their vocabulary, and develop critical thinking skills through shared reading experiences. These books will help them connect to different cultures, perspectives, and stories, building empathy and understanding in the process.

My goal for this project is to provide a vibrant reading culture in our school library where every student feels supported and excited to dive into a good book.

By providing access to high quality literature, I hope to ignite a lifelong love for reading and equip my students with the skills they need to succeed academically and personally.

My students are a curious, compassionate, and determined group who inspire me everyday with their eagerness to learn and grow. They come from diverse backgrounds, bringing unique perspectives and strengths to our school, and they thrive when given the tools to collaborate and explore new ideas.
