This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project supports independent reading for the students in my classroom. My goal is to build a library of several hundred books, including novels, comics, short story collections, and graphic novels. This project will stock my library with popular favorites including Diary of A Wimpy Kid, Dragon Ball, and other manga books. Additionally, it includes books requested by my students including the Amulet series and Dog Man.

Access to books to accommodate different reading levels, languages, and interests will help encourage reading growth this year and beyond for my students.

My students have enjoyed independent reading this year and I hope to continually stock my library with books.
