Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will support independent reading for the students in my classroom. My goal is to build a library of several hundred books, including novels, comics, short story collections, and graphic novels. This project will stock my library with popular favorites including Diary of A Wimpy Kid and Dragon Ball Super. The project also includes Spanish to English dictionaries as a translation resource during assessments. Additionally, the project includes headsets to allow the students to use district reading software such as Read 180 independently. A student can increase their reading level by incorporating reading into their routine. Access to books to accommodate different reading levels, languages, and interests will help encourage reading growth this year and beyond for my students. I want to provide my students with a class library that matches their interests.
