My Project

I need your generous support to create a serene Calm Corner space for my incredible students with special needs in grades K-8. At our school, these extraordinary young minds face unique challenges, experiencing stress, frustration, and social-emotional hurdles that can make their school day overwhelming.

In my mission to provide an optimal learning environment for all my students, this dedicated area in my classroom will be adorned with comfortable bean bag chairs, soft, inviting pillows, and a fantastic array of sensory/fidget toys and board games, exuding warmth, comfort, and engagement.

Why is this Calm Corner so crucial? For some of my students, the typical classroom setting can become overwhelming, causing stress and frustration to creep in. But with your help, we can build a haven where they can find solace during moments of sensory overload, allowing them to decompress, unwind, and recharge.

The inviting setup of our Calm Corner, complemented by an exciting selection of sensory/fidget toys and board games, will serve as an oasis of tranquility and entertainment. These therapeutic tools will empower our students with special needs to regulate their emotions effectively and develop vital social skills in a relaxed environment.

By having a dedicated space for relaxation and self-regulation, our students will be better equipped to cope with challenges, ensuring they can fully participate in the classroom and achieve their true potential.

Your contribution to our Classroom Calm Corner Project will provide the much-needed cozy furniture and supply the tools for exploration, growth, and joy. Let's come together and make this special space a reality, supporting our students with special needs well-being, and academic growth.
