Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A block center provides children with hands-on opportunities to develop their creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills. Blocks can be used to build structures, create patterns, explore math and science concepts, and more.

My preschoolers learn to share, take turns, and make friends by playing and building in the block area.

It is the most popular center in your classroom! Adding soft building and unit blocks, community vehicles, animal playsets, and play people, among other materials, will allow my preschooler to recreate and represent buildings, vehicles, and other structures in the community. Including materials such as traffic signs will add a print-rich environment.

Finally my students need a sturdy, accessible and age appropriate storage unit to organize blocks and other materials in the block area.
