Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The specific items I am requesting will transform our classroom into a more engaging, student-centered learning space that supports a variety of needs. Wobble chairs will provide movement-friendly seating for students who learn best when they can stay active, improving focus and engagement. Large paper will allow us to create anchor charts that reinforce key concepts and serve as ongoing visual learning tools. Stools will make small-group learning more effective by enabling us to gather closely for discussions, collaboration, and targeted instruction. String lights will provide a softer, more inviting alternative to harsh fluorescent lighting, creating a calming and comfortable atmosphere. Lastly, storage bins will help keep materials organized and easily accessible, promoting independence and efficiency in the classroom.

My goals for this project are to create a classroom environment that supports all learners by providing flexible seating, better organization, and a welcoming atmosphere.

I want to ensure that every student has access to a space that enhances focus, creativity, and collaboration. By incorporating these resources, I aim to improve student engagement, foster a love for learning, and make our classroom a place where everyone feels comfortable and motivated to succeed.

What makes my students special is their curiosity, perseverance, and love for learning. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique strengths to our classroom. Each student has different learning needs, and I want to ensure that our space reflects and supports those differences. Despite any challenges they may face, they show up each day ready to grow, support one another, and work toward their goals. My goal is to provide them with an environment that helps them thrive both academically and emotionally.
