Build Students' Executive Functioning Skills

Help me give my students organizational materials to empower them to build executive functioning skills.

My Project

Every day that a student chooses to come to school, they are choosing to grow. Many of our students have experienced trauma which impacts their health, learning, emotional control, and interpersonal relationships.

Our school provides the safety and support our students need to stabilize and progress.

A big factor that contributes to safety is routine. The organizational materials that you are contributing to will help us help our students establish daily routines and habits in the classroom. This will them to build and strengthen executive functioning skills. Executive functioning skills help students with emotional control, organizing, planning, sustaining attention, self monitoring, understanding other perspectives, and self confidence.

Each student will have their own bin where they will store color coded folders (by subject) and materials they can use to better engage in lessons. Additionally, they can keep track of the progress they've made by adding to their portfolios. Students learn how to manage their materials as they improve their own self management strategies.

Thank you for empowering our students' growth by gifting them with organizational materials.
