Build Our Love for Reading With Bookshelves Part 2
Help me give my students bookshelves so we can read all our books and add many more to our classroom!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and have endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I school in a poverty-stricken community.
Our school consists of a very large English language learner population.
All of our students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for the next level of life.
I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer and I am determined to help them get it.
These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication, and knowledge.
My Project
We like to read. Pardon me, we LOVE to read in our room. Impactful, meaningful, selective books are still coming our way and we don't have enough shelves to share them all.
To keep growing our love for reading, bookshelves let every book have a moment to shine!
The last bookshelf project made a huge dent in our book overflow. With your help, we can add more bookshelves to let every single book be showcased, rather than stay behind a cold, dark, filing cabinet. All books deserve to have their moment to shine!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
