This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a Title I elementary school in Arizona. Our students come from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds. Over seventy percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch daily.
My school's mission focuses on academic, fitness, and personal achievements for both students and staff.
We believe all students can be successful and we try to give them every tool they need to reach their goals. Our staff teaches after school clubs throughout the year that range from art and dance to technology and math. We spend time in our classrooms, on announcements, and at assemblies celebrating the fitness and academic successes of our students and staff.
My Project
Utilizing a resource like BrainPOP Jr. helps me create more engaging lessons. I am able to find content, videos, and activities that help support the standards I am teaching my students. BrainPOP Jr. has content for every subject I teach so I am able to find a variety of activities to use with my class.
BrainPOP Jr gives my students access to digital content that covers a variety of subjects and standards.
BrainPOP Jr. explains concepts with kid friendly language and engaging videos so any student is able to make a connection with the content.
