Hummingbird Robotics kits are educational tools designed to teach students about robotics, programming, and engineering in a hands-on and engaging way.
The kits seamlessly integrate STEM disciplines, illustrating the interconnected nature of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
This interdisciplinary approach not only enhances students' understanding of individual subjects but also prepares them for collaborative and integrated problem-solving in the real world.
As the STEAM coordinator in my building, I work with the teachers to create projects that utilize these robotics kits, but I only have 3 total kits to share between all of the students. Every time I borrow these kits from a local university, the kids are thoroughly engaged and want to learn more! The only problem is, they aren't always available and not every student can have access to them. I'm trying to build my collection of robots so that every student has equitable access to learn.
Hummingbird Robotics nurtures creativity and design thinking as students embark on the creative process of building and programming their robots. The open-ended nature of the kits encourages experimentation, fostering a mindset that is invaluable for tackling challenges in various contexts.
