This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students from this school come from around the local area. We are located by the Port of LA. I seek to spark the love of learning to the students in our learning community.

I am a 1st grade teacher to a wonderful, diverse group of students who enjoy building on their knowledge throughout the year using hands-on activities and collaborating with their classmates.

Throughout our 1st grade learning adventure, students grow in confidence and creativity.

As a teacher, I want to provide students with a memorable learning experience that they will cherish and encourage them to seek more learning experiences.

My Project

In our world, we need to give students opportunities to build, create, and inspire one another. Through STEM education, they will learn to collaborate with peers, use problem solving, and build on communication skills that will be used during and after their education.

STEM education is important to provide to our students, as it fosters the love of science, technology, engineering, and math for both boys and girls.

Including STEM skills early on, provide children to build on their confidence of creating and taking risks. It is known these students are better prepared for school and have an increase knowledge and interest in STEM careers.
