Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are imaginative and fun-loving kids ages 3-5 with autism or intellectual disabilities. My students come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.
They have a dedicated team of educators which includes their families who are trying to make sure they continue to learn and make progress towards their IEP goals.
My Project
Through trial and error, students will be able to learn how to connect the tracks in the right position so a ball can roll from track to track and into the goal box!
It will be an easy way for kids to build, test and retest a variety of pathways building their STEM problem-solving skills as they create these fun STEM activities.
They will be able to work collaboratively with their classmates and work on turn taking, problem solving while having fun building tracks and systems for their balls, cars, gears, and other toys in the classroom.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
