Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I see more and more students that are picking up books but may not have access to them. Our school is a safe place where they come to learn and get resources. Having a small library would be super beneficial to them.

We are also getting more students to read!

We will have students pick a book and stick with it while doing a Silent Sustained Reading Challenge every Friday. They will read and then respond to a prompt. They will also get the opportunity to share their ideas! Right now, their choice in books is very limited, but with your help, they can have a myriad of books to choose from!
