Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting several items that will support my 1st-3rd grade students with unique learning and development needs throughout the entire school day. Every morning we use Brain Bins. These bins help us transition from home to school. The magnetic blocks and play dough I am requesting will be used during this time.

Small Group time is when my kids practice and show what they know.

I teach three grade levels. It is imperative that I have many materials with varying levels for all subjects. This project has materials that support small group learning including book holders to store our decodable books, flat storage trays to store materials such as paper and markers, and ABC and number lacing. Students can work on their fine motor skills and academics at the same time. I am excited to use the Number Stax Blocks. This will help my kids develop their math reasoning skills. The small plastic jars will be used to store small seasonal counters. We have several hundred of these.

This school year my students have requested science on Fun Fridays. I am requesting a plant/flower growing kit so we can watch seeds grow on our new mini plant holder.

Having fun at school is a must! I am requesting a few games for my awesome students. I am requesting Chalk and Chuckles which will support critical thinking skills. I can already hear their excitement when the shapes pop up in the Shape Board Game.

I print materials by the pound. This includes visual supports, small group tasks and parent information. I print from home and school. Ink is a necessity in my classroom.
