Build a Beary Great Friend

My students need Build A Bears and clothes to dress, and LEGO sets so that they have a friend when they need one.

My Students

My students are eager kindergarteners. They are like sponges who soak up information and knowledge. The best way to do that is with hands-on activities, which includes taking part in the school play.

Do you remember the first time you saw Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumba?

My students are dramatic. Now I want to channel that drama to the small stage. They love being read to. Recently we have been talking about characters in books. They said they saw the movie and that day, proceeded to pretend to be puppies in class.

My Project

I think that having the opportunity to have something to cuddle will make them feel better. These Build-a-Bears will be their very own special friends to dress and it would be a great opportunity to have something that can provide comfort when they are feeling sad or upset. It would also teach them a sense of responsibility in taking care of their bears. My students can read to their bears and take them to explore the classroom.

These bears would help to provide comfort when they need it or be the "bestest" friend they ever had.

My girls are showing a great interest in LEGO building and many are talking about the Wonder Woman movie. These LEGO sets would give my students some things to act out and build on their own for their own scenarios.
