Bugs & Beyond: Bringing Science to Life in Kindergarten!
Help me give my students the opportunity to observe live butterflies, ants, ladybugs and praying mantises in our classroom. These living examples help young learners grasp concepts like metamorphosis, teamwork, and beneficial bugs in action.
My kindergarteners are bright, curious, and full of questions about the world around them. Many of them are experiencing a structured classroom setting for the first time. Our school serves a diverse group of students, and we strive to provide rich, hands-on learning experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning. Every child deserves the chance to see science in action—and this project will do just that.

To bring this interactive experience to life, we are requesting, Live Butterfly Garden Kit (with caterpillars and habitat), Live Ant Farm Kit (with habitat and live ants), Ladybug Land Kit (with larvae and enclosure) and Praying Mantis Egg Case & Habitat. These insect habitats will allow my students to observe real life cycles right before their eyes. They'll record changes in science journals, make predictions, ask questions, and learn responsibility as they help care for our little classroom visitors.
This project isn't just about bugs—it's about building scientists, nurturing natural curiosity, and creating lifelong learners who see the value and beauty in the world around them.
