Bug Books and Wild Weather Readers -- Science Books for Second-Graders

The cost of a set of science readers from Primary Concepts--including books at different levels on bugs, weather, and animals (sixty-six in all)--is $440, including shipping and <a target="new" href="http://www.donorschoose.org/html/fulfillment.htm" onclick="g_openWindow('http://www.donorschoose.org/html/fulfillment.htm', 300, 800, 'fulfillwindow');return false;">fulfillment</a>.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Carlisle's classroom raised $466

I teach second grade in a Title One public school in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The children in my school are expected to read three to four different books every night. My second graders love to read, especially now that they they can read more difficult books. However, we have a few problems achieving our reading goals. One is that the children have read many of the books we have in our classroom, and now their selection is limited. Moreover, the school wants the children to read books on nonfiction topics, but these books are very scarce in the classroom. We would therefore like a set of science readers from primary concepts.com so that the children will have a larger variety to choose from. This set includes books about bugs, weather, life cycles, snails, and other topics--sixty-six books in all. Please consider funding this proposal to keep the children from getting bored with reading at such a young age. Thank you for your consideration.
