This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Unfortunately, our district is experiencing budget cuts for the 2024-2025 school year. I am usually allotted a small amount of money to order basic supplies; for example, pencils, crayons, dry erase markers etc. I will not be given this money this year! My students are only 7 years old and are still learning how to read, write and work out math problems. In order to be successful, they need basic academic supplies. There are also basic supplies needed in the classroom, such as staples, paper clips and other learning materials that need updating.

Many of my students come from low income households and financially can not provide the materials their child needs for school.

My goal for this project is to provide each child with the proper supplies they deserve in order to be the best they can be. Each student deserves to be part of a classroom that is filled with supplies and learning material needed in order to receive the best education possible.

My students come to school every day with a smile on their face and ready to learn. They are hard working, kind and conscientious children. Over 70% of my students speak a language at home other than English. These materials are vital to their success. Your donation will have a direct impact on so many students!
