Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help! It's too noisy in here. My music class has electric keyboards for piano practice. We need headphones so the students can practice in peace.
Our school serves over 1100 students.
We are a middle school in a low-income district outside Chicago, Illinois. Although our students have limited resources, we are fortunate enough to be able to offer them a fine arts education. These are extremely talented young people; and they thrive in the arts.
My Project
How fortunate we are that we can offer piano instruction to these bright, talented, young people. Unfortunately, it can't be one-on-one instruction. Twenty-five kids all playing at the same time can be rather chaotic. With these headphones, students will be a able to explore their own instrument without disturbing anyone else in the class.
Music and the arts are so important for these students.
Most of them do not have any kind of musical instrument at home. The classroom is really the only chance they have to try out an instrument for themselves. Your donation will give these students the invaluable opportunity to explore their own musical ability and creativity and discover the joy of music for themselves. Thank you
