This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember learning your first instrument? My students need your help to tap into their inner musician!
I teach 2nd grade to an amazing group of low-income students in California.
Though over 90% of the students at our school receive free lunch, they are showing amazing growth and working very hard to learn each day. District and state cuts have slashed our arts programs and my students are without s music teacher or supplies this year.
My Project
All students deserve a rich arts education. It is my goal that all my second grade students will learn to play the recorder and be able to take it home at the end of the year. They will be able to read simple music, appreciate different musical genres, and share their knowledge with their families.
Supporting this Donor's Choose music project will help inspire a new generation of musicians.
These recorders will give my students the excellent well-rounded education they deserve!
