Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second graders are full of curiosity and getting ready to go on summer break very soon. I want to encourage their creativity during the months off to learn about the world around them. I hope that the sand bucket, beach ball, and butterfly catcher will keep them busy outdoors since many children tend to get bored without their classmates or schoolwork.
It is known that children that spend more time outside are more likely to protect our nature as they grow up and help improve overall their physical health, which is closely linked to mental health.
The other items requested are basic school supplies that are needed on a daily basis and need to be replenished. We are also preparing for the next school year, 2024-2025.
