it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help our students foster their musicianship by donating bucket drums. Rhythm is a foundational skill in music that needs to be developed. Students use rhythm daily, in school and out. Having bucket drums will increase engagement in class as well as open doors for students to explore and create!
Having big buckets to drum rather than small handheld percussion instruments will motivate students to participate.
Students will explore with rhythm because they will have their own personal bucket promoting improvisation. Not everyone understands music, but everyone does understand rhythm and how to hit a drum.
