Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in Harlem and has over 450 students that range from 3rd grade-8th grade. As their music teacher, I would love to provide them a quality music education, but do not have funds to purchase any musical instruments, storage lockers, and music accessories: reeds, mouthpieces, stands, etc. My goal is to create a strong music program for our students to equip them with the knowledge and skills to further their music talents. With a strong music program, our students will be able to apply to music high schools and eventually into strong music conservatories throughout the nation. Thank you for considering our students in Harlem!
My Project
Our students in Harlem have such incredible music talent! As a new music teacher in Harlem, I want to share my knowledge and passion for music, but we require several instruments and supplies to help build our music program. For this project, I am requesting 5 gallon buckets that way we can perform various bucket drumming songs.
I know that with their talent, we will achieve our goal!
I am hoping that with our new music instruments, our Harlem students will be able to express their musical talents and creativity. Thank you very much for considering our DonorsChoose project!
