My Students
My students are a wonderful group of kids. They are caring, friendly, and welcoming. They enjoy being in each other's company and value their classmates. They are excited to learn and it shows in how hard they work.
Learning today is much different than before.
Collaboration is key. Students are required to think, analyze their thinking, and explain their thinking to their classmates. In turn, their classmates will critique their thinking. These skills will not only help them in the classroom but later when they become adults. Helping them not only become good learners but good listeners, too.
My Project
The integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics has been at the forefront of education in the last several years. Integrating these subjects has been beneficial to many students in learning.
Using STEM lessons in class helps bring learning alive.
Finding STEM lessons that are well researched and quality is difficult. Engineering is Elementary is an excellent program with quality projects. This project is called Bubble Bonanza. In this project, students will create a bubble wand. There are six different adventures in the unit to guide students through the Engineering Design Process. Each adventure helps them build or revise their creation.
My students will enjoy this activity and it will help expand their knowledge of how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math work together.
