Bubble, Boom, Explore: Investigations of a Curious Sort

My Project

This project will build on our previous project in that we are going to use these materials to investigate the Earth and its changing systems. We recently built a solar system using balloons, flour paste, and salt dough as part of our astronomy lessons. Having the hands-on materials and supplies makes all these units really come to life for students.

Our Earth Science unit will have students making volcanos, experimenting with weather patterns, and looking at the ways that plate tectonics have shaped our current view of the world.

The students will be using the materials to create their own geographical place and determine what happens when things that can not be controlled change that place. They will work as a team to create a map and a display using the trifold boards to be presented at our expedition celebration.
