it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students at Venture Academy are bursting with creativity and passion, ready to transform their surroundings into a vibrant reflection of their diverse stories and culture. To make this vision a reality, we’re launching a mural class that will empower them to design and paint large-scale art pieces, enhancing not only our school’s walls but also their skills and confidence.
We are seeking donations of essential art supplies, including paint, brushes, drop cloths, sketching tools, and sealants.
These materials are the building blocks of their artistic journey, allowing students to explore color theory, composition, and the practical techniques required for mural-making. Beyond art, this project encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and pride in their work as they see their ideas come to life.
Our goal is to foster creativity while instilling a sense of community and ownership. These murals will reflect our school’s values and serve as a lasting testament to the power of teamwork and self-expression. Students will not only develop technical art skills but also gain confidence and a sense of accomplishment that extends far beyond the classroom.
What makes our students special is their incredible diversity and resilience. They come from various backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives and stories to share. This project will give them a voice and a platform to celebrate their individuality while contributing to something bigger than themselves.
