This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are active learners who are intellectually disabled. Their families are low-income and often do not have access to daily hygiene materials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes, hair ties, body spray, and deodorant. My students deserve to have the fundamental necessities throughout the school year. Having these essentials allows for students to feel clean and comfortable with themselves in a nurturing and caring environment. In addition, students will utilize these items to learn basic life skills such as how to care for themselves and their personal hygiene which will enhance daily routines not only in the classroom but at home as well. I want my kids to be happy and confident!
