This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a Title I School that is located in a diverse, low socio-economic neighborhood in the Bay Area. I have 24 eager to learn kindergarten students this year. Kindergarten students are enthusiastic and excited to learn. My goal is to provide them with a safe environment that foster a love of learning and a wide variety of skills and knowledge.
Kindergarten students love to explore, discover, and be creative and we need the proper supplies and materials to keep them fully engaged in their learning.
I want my classroom to be equipped with all of the materials necessary for my students to have fun while learning and be successful in all that they do.
My Project
I would like to provide each student with the basic necessities to clean their teeth. These kits will include: toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, and tablets to check how well they did.
By providing each student with all of the necessities to properly clean their teeth daily, I will be able to give a lesson on how to take care of their body.
I would also like to provide my students with some snacks and a drink to ensure each student has something to eat and drink during our whole class social snack time.
