Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials will make a difference for them as many students come from homes where parents cannot provide these essential items for their educational growth. The material will help me to keep them engaged by being able to embed it in the lesson plans for the student's growth in writing conventions, literacy, letter recognition, phonological awareness, reading comprehension, and phonemic awareness. My students are future engineers, entrepreneurs, doctors, teachers and nurses. This month with our focus on Black Heritage Month, the different individuals who have made a change in the world for them. For example, as a class, we could create our costumes for the program and background for our "I Have A Dream" speech recital. After reading about Martin Luther King I will put students in different groups have them create a poster with dreams they have for their own future while providing guidance. For letter recognition I will print out and laminate different important people who we remember in this month. Have students match the first letter of the person name.
