Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These requested items will help make our production come to life on stage! I want my students to experience what a real production of a musical can feel like. All the friendship and leadership skills that they can develop while having fun on stage performing songs and dances from The Wiz.
My students receive very little funding, and we are a low income, high needs area located in the South Bronx of New York City.
We have a lot of students with learning disabilities as well as EAL (English as additional language) students. Some of my students may never have this opportunity again and I want to make sure their time here at our school is a great one that they will always cherish.
These costumes and set pieces will help give that to my students with your help. Thank you for all your help of giving back to communities and students around the world.
