My Project
There has been a recent surge in interest in playing badminton at my school. So much so that the students have created a badminton club that comes into the gym to play during lunch! Former students who went to high school have returned to tell me that they are starting a badminton team at their school, and even my student-athletes are telling me how fun badminton is. Students enjoy playing badminton because it is something new and different from what they are used to from traditional sports like basketball and football. Unfortunately, the rackets we had before are flimsy and break easily, so they are no good. Some students are left out and have to share a racket, meaning they are losing valuable time they could be playing, learning, and getting healthy. It breaks my heart to see students who are so eager to participate don't get a chance due to a lack of proper equipment. Students fighting over who gets the "good" racket should not have to happen. Thank you so much for any donations you can offer as it will help tremendously.
