My Students
I work in a Title 1 school. My students come from all different kinds of backgrounds. Most speak English, and some don't. My students want to learn and achieve their goals but often times have limits that are out of their control.
They deserve to have the same opportunity as other students from neighboring districts but we cannot get that accomplished with materials that are sub par.
I do my best to make the topics come alive in class but I need your help! Please help me, help better my students lives!
My Project
I am requesting 8 new laptop computers for my Science and Social Studies Classroom. As a teacher of both Science and Social Studies I often run into issues with materials and giving my kids access to materials that allow them to use their imaginations of what life was like or how cells interact with other cells. Having reliable and new computers will allow me to reach into the wonderful world of knowledge that my students are currently unable to access. A long with this, it will allow my students to learn the necessary skills, like writing, researching, and developing presentations. These skills can be directly transferable to further their education and one day help them in the real world.
Having access to computers will allow my students to conduct science labs and experiments that will capture their imagination and drive their thirst for knowledge.
It will allow the world of Ancient Civilizations to be at their fingertips as they can go too, and examine the sites and sounds of the places in the world that they may never be able to travel too. The world of education is always changing and the styles in which teachers present information to their students is as well.
Please help me in my attempt to mold these young minds and show them what they truly can achieve when given the opportunity to.
