My Project
I am requesting a collection of high-quality picture books to support our Social Studies standards to make learning more engaging and accessible. These books will allow my students to explore key historical events and figures through beautifully illustrated, age-appropriate books. From Industrialization to current events, picture books help students connect emotionally with the past while incorporating literacy skills.
The titles were selected to represent a wide range of voices and time periods in American history. The books will be used in whole-class read-alouds to help deepen understanding of US history.
