Help me give my students real life experiences within the walls of our classroom.

My Students
Wow, my students are curious, excited about learning, and creative. My classes consist of 45 black and brown kids that come from low-income households. We need your support! During these Covid 19 times, my students are still eager about learning. They really excel when we mesh real-world experiences with technology. My kids always seem to want to know how our classroom activities will help them in real life situations. With that in mind, I plan lessons that are engaging, hands on and technology driven. There are a plethora of learning styles in our classroom, like auditory, visual and hands on learners, but they all seem to light up when you mix the versatility of technology. I say this to say, with new and updated chrome books for each student, learning could be easily accessible.
My Project
Our Journalism Project will enhance students' ability to read, write and become critical thinkers. Even in math and science, the art of reading and writing help students to interpret word problems and become world wide problem solvers. Through writing and creating our own school newspaper, students will enhance their social and emotional strengths. Here, students can not only positively express their point of view, but here their peers supportive voices as well. Our project will reach not only my 45 students, but the voices of our entire student body will be heard.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
