The students in our class range in ages from 3-5 years old, and are full of energy and an excitement to learn new things. Their day is spent transitioning through different opportunities for learning. This is provided both by teacher led instruction in small and whole groups, as well as in centers with independent activities.
They are just beginning their journey into education and have an enthusiasm to explore new things.
A variety of learning possibilities are provided throughout the classroom, as each student learns at their own pace and in their own way.
My Project
The three iPads would provide additional opportunities for the students to learn both independently and in a structured environment. Technology is a prominent part of each day and having these in our classroom would give the students a chance to use it to learn. They would be available in many ways throughout the class and each day. In the library they would be able to choose books with interactive reading and learning. In the writing center they would be able to practice their writing skills through both drawing and writing programs. The iPads would aid in both large and small group lessons as well to see, learn, and explore those things beyond the classroom such as trees in different season, weather, animals, foods, and so much more.
With your donation to this project you are giving the students in our class a window beyond our classroom.
You will be providing them a tool in which they can see and explore things within the environment to further their learning and understanding. To tell a child about something gives them an idea, however showing them something happening teaches them.
