My Project
Our return to school in August is coming up quickly! When we return, I can't wait to meet my new students and learn all about who they are. One of the ways that we will share about ourselves is through stories. We will be telling each other stories of what we did this summer, and when we talk about all of the things we did, I want to have books that feature each of these experiences so that all of my students can make a connection to at least one of the summer stories.
These summer stories and books feature a variety of ways kids might spend their summer--camping, swimming, riding bikes, going to the park, spending time with family, and more!
With these books, my students will see that however they spent their summer was worth sharing with others, and that people want to hear their stories, even if they had a different experience than someone else did! These books also feature a variety of characters and identities that represent the variety of students in my classroom next year!
