Bringing the Roots Back to Bluegrass 101

Help me give my students an immersive experience with American bluegrass music. I am currently using my personal instruments for this class and would love if we had more so students could learn with hands-on playing.

My Project

I teach a Bluegrass 101 class. I have been using my three personal instruments to teach students, and we have enjoyed playing classics such as Old Joe Clark and Jolene by Dolly Parton. I love seeing the joy it brings to my students to learn chords on a new instrument or to play a song correctly for the very first time. Bluegrass is a unique style of music that can set you free… especially if you are a middle schooler who needs to find a way to express yourself. I would LOVE if we could keep this class going, and I have many more students signed up for the class than I have instruments or singing parts for. Please help us continue this program in a high needs school!
