Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A 3D printer will allow my students to get to experience making objects come to life that they may only see in photographs. By having a 3D printer the students can use to recreate historical items, they will be able to learn how to do some engineering, learn how to use references to create their replication, as well as get a taste of how hard it must have been to create the items they are re-creating with technology that wasn't available to the original creators.
Not all students learn visually or audibly, some students work best when they are given the chance to work hands-on.
By having a 3D printer students all get the chance to do interactive activities, get to flex their artistic abilities, as well as learn new skills. This 3D printer will not be limited to just my social studies class. It will be able to be used by other teachers in other areas of study as well to help give our students the best possible chance to do interactive learning.
